A War

Oscar-nominated latest picture Tobias Lindholm, screenwriter of "The Hunt" and the series "Government", described by critics as one of the most intelligent war movies ever made.

Sergeant Claus Pedersen stationed with his company on the Afghan province. At that time, the commander's wife, Maria, has to deal with the hardships of everyday life without a husband and a single parent of three children.

During a routine mission soldiers get caught in the crossfire of the Taliban. To save his people, Claus makes a dramatic decision, the result of which is accused of committing a war crime. The consequences of the act seriously affect both the sergeant and his family.

"War" is both a thriller war, and courtroom drama - and in both cases the image is excellent, very realistic. With the exception of the main characters, the film play a real military Danish soldiers serving in Afghanistan.
